Evergreen High School band students will join the Golden Buffalo Marching Band during the CU Buffs home football game on Saturday, as a way to uplift and support the students after a shooting at the high school in September.
About 60 Evergreen High School band students will join the 265-person University of Colorado Boulder marching band on Saturday for the football game against Iowa State. The high school students will join the CU marching band in the stands, where they will rotate through 20 pieces of music throughout the game.
“The really exciting thing is when they get to join us on the field for our halftime performance, where we’ll be doing Life is a Highway from the movie Cars,” said Logan Sorey, the director of the CU Boulder marching band.
