SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Changes are coming to the city of South Bend.
After spending more than 50 years at the County-City Building in downtown South Bend, the city is moving into a new building on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
It’s about a two-minute drive, or six-minute walk, from the County-City Building.
City officials say they are still in process of moving, but some departments are ready to welcome people to this new location next Monday.
This is not the first time South Bend will have its own city hall building. The city used to have its own city hall on Main Street before moving into the current County-City Building.
The city clerks didn’t hide their excitement.
