HILLSBORO Ore. (KPTV) - A student assault at Century High School on Wednesday has prompted an investigation by school officials and the Hillsboro Police Department.

The incident occurred during lunchtime in the cafeteria, where a sophomore student was assaulted by another student, according to the victim’s mother, Shannon Graff.

Graff said the aggressor approached her daughter and asked her a question. Her daughter did not respond. According to Graff, her daughter did not know the student.

“My daughter just kind of looked at her and didn’t say anything,” Graff said. “She just assumed she grabbed the wrong girl.”
