LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The man who was found not guilty by reason of insanity in connection with the death of 6-year-old Logan Tipton in his Versailles home is now in custody in Florida.
Body camera footage shows the moment Ronald Exantus was arrested after a warrant was issued for failure to register as a convicted felon.
As part of his parole, he was required to register with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office within 48 hours, but failed to do so.
In December 2015, Exantus broke into a Versailles family’s home, stabbing 6-year-old Logan Tipton and attacking his father and sisters.
A jury later found him not guilty by reason of insanity for murder, but guilty of assault. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2018.
