VERSAILLES, Ky. (FOX 56) — In Woodford County, more than 700 miles from Marion County, Florida, the Tipton family is finally breathing a sigh of relief.

Ronald Exantus, the man convicted after the stabbing of 6-year-old Logan Tipton, is back behind bars.

"I'm crying and I'm happy. Heather's in tears, my mom's in tears, and we're just like, 'Thank God,'" said Logan's father, Dean Tipton. "He's not going to hurt nobody right now; he can't hurt nobody now."

After learning he'd been released on early parole last week, the family said it felt like the justice system had failed them.

"I think the most frustrating part about this whole thing is truly just feeling like they don't care about Logan, and Logan deserves some sort of justice," said Koral Tipton, Logan's sister.
