BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WLOX) – Bay St. Louis is buzzing as thousands of classic cars and visitors fill the streets for this year’s Cruisin’ the Coast.

For local restaurants and bars, it’s one of the busiest—and most profitable—weeks of the year.

At Cuz’s Old Town Oyster Bar and Grill, owner Melvin Barnes said his team looks forward to the rush every October.

“Just very busy, very excited for it, can’t wait for it to start, and then high five when it’s over,” Barnes said.

That same excitement can be felt across the road at Dan B’s Restaurant and Bar, where owner Daniel Murphy said the week brings a big economic lift for the entire Coast.
