PERRY, Ohio — A Perry man has been sentenced to nearly 13 months in jail after pleading guilty to repeatedly harassing and stalking a woman over several months, according to the Willoughby Police Department.

Police said the harassment began in May and continued through early September, despite repeated law enforcement intervention and a protection order issued against 43-year-old Kevin A. Yeckel.

On Sept. 2, with help from the U.S. Marshals Service, Yeckel was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including menacing by stalking and violating a protection order.

He later pleaded guilty in Willoughby Municipal Court to four charges: telecommunications harassment, violation of a protection order, dissemination of an image of another person, and menacing by stalking.
