BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Southern (1-4, 0-1 SWAC) and Bethune-Cookman (2-4, 1-1 SWAC) have a similar losing record. Each of the defenses is struggling in the bottom half of the major conference stats.

Offense is a different story. Southern lives off big run plays while their passing game is nonexistent. Bethune-Cookman’s offense has it going all around. The Wildcats’ offense is top four in the major SWAC categories, most notably passing, where they rank second with 248 yards per game.

BCU has also scored a minimum of 35 points in its last four games. On the other hand, Southern has not broken 20 points since their August 30th game at Mississippi Valley State.
