The Providence mammography bus teamed up with The Alaska Club West on Friday to offer free mammograms.

Inside the bus, patients checked in with a nurse before getting their screening. You get walked through the whole process, which only takes a few minutes.

Health experts recommend that women over 40 get a mammogram every year. Patients were given free guest pass to the Alaska Club West.

“At the Alaska club, we believe it's important to exercise because exercise is medicine. But it's also important to get your regular checkups. You know, it's this simple 20-minute test. I just did my mammogram, and any woman over 40 can do it," stated Tracy Dumas, director of marketing and public relations with Alaska Club West.
