WEBB, Ala. (WDHN)-- A Wiregrass family is getting their miracle, finally receiving the call that could save their daughter's life.
8-year-old Kaitlynn Mosley has been battling stage four kidney failure for the past nine months as her family desperately waited for a transplant.
The Mosleys were in Orlando for a Make-A-Wish trip to Walt Disney World when they finally got that call on Thursday at 5:05 p.m. that there was a potential donor, and then another one at 3:30 a.m. Friday, confirming that the kidney was a match. • The Mosley's at Walt Disney World
The family drove all night from Orlando to the Birmingham Children's Hospital where Kaitlynn is currently undergoing transplant surgery.
The surgery should take about four hours, and we are still waiting to hear if her body accepts it.
