Nawazuddin Siddiqui ’s Rs 100-crore defamation case against his brother, Shamasuddin Siddiqui, and ex-wife, Anjana Pandey, has been dismissed by the Bombay High Court. The actor had reportedly accused them of misappropriating Rs 21 crore from his bank accounts and defaming him in the media. As reported by Hindustan Times, a single-judge bench of Justice Jitendra Jain dismissed the case because Nawazuddin and his lawyer were not present in court to proceed. A detailed copy of the court order is yet to be published. As per the report, the case traces back to 2008 when Nawazuddin had appointed his brother, Shamasuddin, as his manager.
