MADISON, Wis. -- A former Sun Prairie dean of students accused of child sex crimes is scheduled to go to trial in a federal courtroom next April.

Online court records show Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor ordered the trial of Robert Gilkey-Meisegeier to begin April 27, 2026. The trial is expected to last three days.

A federal grand jury in August indicted Gilkey-Meisegeier on charges of producing, attempting to produce and possessing child sexual abuse materials. He pleaded not guilty to the charges during an arraignment on Sept. 4.

The federal court case is unfolding while Gilkey-Meisegeier also faces charges of child sexual exploitation and possession of child sexual abuse materials in Dane County.
