ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM)- Overnight temperatures tonight will drop near 38 degrees, with some regions closer to 40 degrees. Even as high pressure moves east, its effects will still be felt for the start of Saturday, before cloud coverage increases behind a low-pressure system from the great lakes. A coastal low from the Carolinas will interact with the low from the Great Lakes, marking the onset of a rainy conclusion to the weekend. Rain should begin in the evening on Saturday, after 5 p.m., and continues even heavier overnight. Showers will likely remain for Sunday, particularly the earlier part of the day.
