WESTFIELD, Ind. — It was a showdown in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference on Friday night as the seventh-ranked Westfield Shamrocks held off the eighth-ranked Fishers Tigers 14-7.
Westfield entered the game looking to secure the second spot in the conference having only lost to Carmel and Brownsburg — two of the top-ranked teams in the state. Meanwhile, Fishers was trying to keep the momentum rolling after a narrow overtime win last week against Franklin Central.
Both teams were evenly matched throughout the entirety of the game. Neither team appeared to have an edge early as the two remained scoreless by halftime.
