LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - One person was hospitalized after a central Lincoln fire on Friday. The fire was reported at a home near 13th and D streets at around 8:30 p.m.

According to Lincoln Fire and Rescue, the fire was caused due to an electrical issue with a box fan located in the kitchen.

LFR said the fire caused $50,000 in structure damage and $10,000 to the contents of the home.

LFR said one person was injured and taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

According to a reporter on the scene, 13th Street from C to D streets was closed due to the fire.
