DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - The Crosby fire continues to burn Friday, growing in size in George Crosby Manitou State Park.
Strong winds and rough terrain are making work difficult for firefighters.
The Crosby fire has now grown from its originally estimated 30 acres to 210 acres.

Aaron Mielke is with the DNR fire program, he says “as the fire grows, we have more total fire perimeter, but you know, yesterday was the first day we really had boots on the ground actually.”
With 27 firefighters on the ground Thursday and 32 Friday, containment efforts have been successful but a tedious process.
