ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -The Edwardsville Tigers Hockey Club, on Friday night, partnered with the St. Louis Blues to host the “Hockey Fights Cancer Challenge.”

It was the third year of the hockey fights cancer challenge, with Edwardsville taking on fellow tigers from across the river in Oakville.

Money raised at the event goes to the V-Foundation and the Siteman Cancer Center.

“It just keeps getting bigger, and the more support that we’ve gotten, and the more resources we’ve gotten to throw into it, it just keeps growing and you know we just want to make this year even better,” said Edwardsville’s coach Jason Walker.

Last year, the challenge raised more than $50,000, and organizers hope to double that with this year’s event.
