HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - The Bulldogs snapped their three-game losing streak with a 56-33 win against the Tigers.
With the 23-point win, Matt Chandler’s crew notched a season-high in points scored in a game this season, surpassing the 49 points they recorded in their season opener against Breathitt County.
The Bulldogs made it 7-0 when William Shoptaw connected with Gavin Johnson through the air.
Parker Helton tied the score with a rushing touchdown on the Tigers’ first drive.
Hazard regained the lead with another passing touchdown from Shoptaw. This time, Max Kilburn was the recipient.
Later, Brayden Banks scored on a rushing TD to extend Hazard’s advantage.
The Bulldogs take their bye week before hosting Pikeville on Oct. 24.
