GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — If you drive on Covell Ave. and Kenning Dr. in Grand Rapids, you'll see an extravagant display of Halloween decorations.
Dusty VanDermeer is a lifelong Grand Rapids resident who’s loved "spooky season" since he was a kid.
He’s made the decorations a tradition in the neighborhood.
“From the first few years of living here, there weren't many kids that came up, but since I've started decorating, I think I got 80 or 90 kids last year that came up and knocked on the door,” VanDermeer said.
The unique display has even gotten him local recognition.
“If you go to grkids.com they kind of highlight the top 25 or 30 houses in the area that have Halloween decorations," VanDermeer said. "I think they do it for Christmas too, but my yard is on that site, too.”
