Palmyra field hockey on Friday defeated Boiling Springs 2-0, behind two second-half strikes and a balanced offensive attack.

The game was scoreless until the third quarter’s 8:33 mark, when Allie Fink got the Cougars on the board, off an assist from Leigha Kane. Palmyra added an insurance goal with 12:11 left in the game, scored by Jovie Weaver. Grace Frew picked up the assist.

The Bubblers were stifled against the Cougar defense, as Palmyra outshot Boiling Springs, 10-1. Bubbler goalkeeper Olivia Wickard recorded eight saves on the evening.
