Year 11 pupils are studying for their GCSEs across the West Midlands at the moment. It's got us thinking about what exams were like when we took them.

So, we've had a look at the type of questions students are likely to be set and turned them into a fun quiz for you to try for yourself. Have you got what it takes to match / beat a 16-year-old? You could even sit the test with your kids then compare your results!

Our quiz includes a selection of questions from AQA Foundation Maths Paper 1 examinations set in 2020 and 2021, which is a non-calculator paper so no cheating! Pupils would be expected to show their workings out in most answers.

We've gone for straight-forward multiple choice questions but students would also be tested on graphs, fractions, algebra and shapes tog
