West Midlands Police have revealed how many stop and searches took place in September as part of a crackdown on drugs and weapons in the region.
The force said on October 11 that they made "numerous arrests and weapons seizures" as part of Guardian Taskforce.
Sergeant Kate Jeffries, from the Guardian Taskforce said the number of knives recovered from stop and search was "significant."

During September, patrols were carried out across Birmingham , Coventry, Solihull , and the western side of the force in Dudley , Sandwell , Walsall and Wolverhampton.
