LAKELAND, Fla. , Oct. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Polk County Public Schools is excited to announce the launch of the Educator Academy, an innovative partnership between Lakeland High School and Florida Southern College that will inspire and prepare future educators. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was recently held to celebrate the launch of the inaugural Educator Academy, which serves 55 students in grades 9–12 and provides a unique, hands-on pathway into the teaching profession.

Under the SAIL (Serious About Innovative Learning) and CTE (Career and Technical Education) umbrella, students at Lakeland High School select the Educator Academy as their elective each spring.
