The trade war between the USA and China was revived on Friday after Donald Trump threatened additional levies of 100 per cent on China’s US-bound exports.

The hike from Trump came alongside new export controls on “any and all critical software” by 1 November.

Trump also threatened to pull out of a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea, saying on Truth Social that “now there seems to be no reason to do so.” New Feature
