Low-cost carrier IndiGo on Saturday announced the launch of its daily direct service between Delhi and Guangzhou, China , commencing from November 10, 2025. This move marks a crucial step in the gradual restoration of air connectivity between the two countries after a gap of almost five years.
The airline said that the new route would be operated using its Airbus A320 aircraft, boosting connectivity between the national capitals of two of Asia’s fastest-growing economies.
The announcements have been made in view of the Ministry of External Affairs ’ (MEA) confirmation earlier this month that direct flights between India and China would resume. The development has been described by both sides as an important step toward normalising post-pandemic and post-Doklam relations.
