National Weather Service meteorologists continue to throughout Brevard County as a major storm system brought 6 inches of rain on Friday on top to an already saturated area with more rain expected on Saturday.
A flood advisory remained in effect for Brevard County on Oct. 10 and flash flood warnings were in effect for parts of the county, including West Melbourne.
Coastal flooding is also possible as meteorologists say high tide will bring waters to 2-3 feet above normal levels near the beach and intracoastal waterways in the north end of the county and 1-2 feet above normal in the south.
Heavy rainfall has been consistent throughout the week, saturating the ground and flooding roadways.
