The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has decided to initiate action against nine officials in connection with the gold theft case at Sabarimala Temple.

TDB President PS Prasanth confirmed that action has already been taken against Deputy Devaswom Commissioner (Haripad) B Murari Babu.

A decision on the remaining officials, including TDB Secretary Jayashree, Executive Officer Sudheesh, Administrative Officer Sreekumar, and former Thiruvabharanam Commissioner KS Baiju, will be finalised at a board meeting on October 14.

Prasanth noted that officials who succeeded Baiju were aware of the reduction in gold weight but failed to report it. He also urged political leaders, including Kerala Assembly Opposition Leader VD Satheesan, to make statements responsibly, as preparations for the Sabarimala
