Sigourney Weaver has spoken out on her potential return as Ripley in another Alien sequel.

From 1979 to 1997, Sigourney Weaver starred in four Alien movies as Ellen Ripley.

Since then Neill Blomkamp had been attached to helm Alien 5 as a direct sequel to 1986’s Aliens, but the project was ultimately abandoned. Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT

Yet now Alien franchise writer and producer Walter Hill has penned 50 pages of a script about an older Ripley and it turns out Weaver’s taken a look.

Appearing at New York Comic Con, the 76-year-old confessed: “It’s a very strong first 50 pages.”
