Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Saturday strongly denied reports suggesting he might become the Chief Minister.
Speaking at Lalbagh, Shivakumar said that some people and media outlets are spreading confusion, while his priority remains working for the Congress party and serving the people of the state.
Shivakumar clarified, "I have not spoken about leadership change. Some people wish for me to become CM and asked if the time is approaching. I just said, ‘Let’s see.’ This does not mean I am striving for any post."
Focus on 2028 Congress government
The Deputy CM stated that his time to lead will come when the Congress forms the government in Karnataka in 2028.
He warned media outlets against spreading false information, adding that he is prepared to file defamation case
