New Delhi, Oct 11: New Delhi is strengthening trade relations with the Taliban in Kabul, as FM Amir Khan Muttaqi visits India to promote cooperation.

Over two dozen Afghan traders are expected to meet him to discuss expanding trade in sectors like dry fruits, pharmaceuticals, and infrastructure.

Muttaqi supports using the Chabahar port for trade, as India cannot export directly to Afghanistan via Pakistan. He also invited Indian companies to explore mining opportunities in Afghanistan’s mineral-rich regions.

These developments occur amid strained relations between Kabul and Islamabad, compounded by recent Pakistani military actions targeting TTP camps in Kabul.
