Scooter's Coffee is going to scoot into Schererville with another drive-thru coffee stand as it plans a major expansion across the Region.

The fast-growing chain that focuses on quick drive-thru service has grown to 850 locations in 32 states, including one across from Lake Central High School in St. John. Local franchisees John Wilson and Mark Holtkamp opened that Scooter's in February.

They have committed to opening 10 locations across Northwest Indiana in coming years. The next Scooter's will open at 790 E. Lincoln Highway in Schererville this month. It's located in the former BMO Bank Building at Cline Avenue and U.S. 30.
