In a major move, the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, has emphasized encouraging the adoption of the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) across all States and Union Territories (UTs).

This first-of-its-kind initiative aims to strengthen the ease of schooling by modernizing administrative processes, particularly those related to financial transactions in schools.
