SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Taking a look at NC State, the Wolfpack are 4-2 on the year and are led by head coach Dave Doeren.

“I think this is Coach Dave Doeren’s 13th year, and he’s been as successful as anyone during that tenure,” said Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman. “That span is the fifth longest tenure coach in FBS right now. He’s done a heck of a job.”

Doeren has led the Wolfpack to 10 bowl game appearances in 12 seasons, including eight wins in six of their last eight seasons.

Since 2020, Doeren’s Wolfpack ranks second in the ACC in overall wins with 40 and conference wins with 26.

The Irish have faced some good quarterbacks this year in Carson Beck (Miami), Marcel Reed (Texas A&M) and Taylen Green (Arkansas), but now they go up against 6-foot-6 sophomore CJ Bailey.
