LOS ANGELES, California — David Del Rio’s wife, Katherine, has publicly criticized co-star Leah Lewis following accusations of sexual assault that led to Del Rio’s dismissal from CBS’s “Matlock,” US Magazine reported .

The incident reportedly happened in late September and was reported to CBS in early October. Del Rio was subsequently removed from the set and his character, Billy Martinez, will be written out of the show’s second season, which premieres Sunday.
