LELAND, Miss. (WJTV) - Leland police are investigating after four people were killed and four people were critically injured during a shooting.
According to State Senator Derrick T. Simmons, a total of 20 people were shot on October 10, 2025, which was the night of Leland High School's homecoming game.
The four deceased victims have not been identified. Simmons said the four victims, who were critically injured, were airlifted to a hospital. There's no suspect information at this time.
Bailey Martin, spokesperson for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (MDPS), said the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) will assist Leland police with the investigation.
