WAWARSING, N.Y. — An Ellenville woman who was injured in a crash on U.S. Route 209 last week has died, according to an obituary.

Kaelyn Rausch, 24, died Tuesday, Oct. 7 , at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, where she was airlifted after the two-vehicle crash.

State police said that at about 8:40 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, two vehicles, one driven by Rausch and the other by Raul Edwardo Braddock-Toala, 25, of Woodbourne, were involved in a collision.

A preliminary investigation found that a 2008 Honda and a 2022 Subaru were both southbound on Route 209 when the crash happened.

Rausch was the driver and the lone occupant of the Honda. Braddock-Toala was not injured.

State police have said the collision remains under investigation.
