A man is facing several charges after officers found a weapon following a traffic stop, said Chatham-Kent police.

A motorcycle was spotted travelling without a licence plate on King Street in Chatham around 6:14 p.m., said police.

Investigation revealed the motorcycle had been reported stolen and the driver had a suspended driver’s licence and officers also discovered a prohibited weapon, police said.

Police said the driver attempted to flee and obstruct officers when arrested.
