MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — For nearly 20 years, Dr. Hannah Hazard-Jenkins has lent her expertise to the WVU Cancer Institute, and under her leadership, the organization’s cancer care has spread throughout West Virginia.
A native of Morgantown, Hazard-Jenkins graduated from George Washington High School in Charleston before attending Dickinson College for her undergraduate studies. She then attended medical school at West Virginia University, staying in Morgantown for her general surgery residency before heading to Northwestern University for a breast disease fellowship.
She returned to Morgantown in 2007 as a breast surgeon with the WVU Cancer Institute, and she has stayed in town ever since.
