An October 7 survivor whose girlfriend was murdered at the Nova music festival has died by suicide.
Roi Shalev, 30, was himself wounded by Hamas terrorists as they opened fire at the festival two years ago. His girlfriend, Mapal Adam, the sister of Israeli television personality Maayan Adam, was murdered in front of him in the massacre.
Two years later, Shalev, who had struggled to deal with the grief of losing Adam in the atrocity, took his own life.

His body was found in a burned-out car near a beach in the central city of Netanya on Friday (Saturday AEDT) after a social media post prompted grave concern and a large search.
Shalev had said he “couldn’t go on anymore” in the post and asked for forgiveness shortly before his death.
