SOUTHEAST MISSOURI (KFVS) - The United States Geological Survey recorded two earthquakes within 24 hours in southeast Missouri.
According to USGS, a M2.0 quake was reported on Friday, October 10, around 12:45 p.m. Its epicenter was about a mile outside of Caruthersville, and it had a depth of 7.3 km.
No one has officially reported feeling this earthquake.
However, at least nine people reported feeling a second earthquake early Saturday morning, Oct. 11.
This quake was an M2.9 with an epicenter about 2.5 miles outside of Steele. It was recorded at around 8:30 a.m. and had a depth of 9.7 km.
