COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — Dave Tysdal, an engineer who was injured in the Canfield Mountain ambush shooting, is set to leave the hospital next week.
Tysdal plans to move into an apartment with his wife and their children, the Coeur d'Alene Fire Department said in a social media post . The family will continue to live in Colorado, where Tysdal can keep working on his rehabilitation.
The department said the family is hopeful that Tysdal will regain use of his legs.
Meanwhile, construction crews are modifying the Tysdal home to make it wheelchair accessible.
The fire department asks that anyone who wants to send Tysdal well wishes addresses them to the department's administration office at 300 East Foster, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814.
