People heading to the B.C. Interior for the Thanksgiving long weekend should brace for a possible snow dump of up to 10 centimetres.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Highway 97C, or the Okanagan Connector, between Merritt and Kelowna, predicting a possibility of snow starting Saturday afternoon to Thanksgiving Monday that could range from two to 10 cm.
“A cold front moving through the Interior of B.C. will begin to drop temperatures Saturday afternoon,” it said on Friday.

“Rapid cooling over the Interior combined with moisture from an upper lower moving through Washington is likely to give snow over the high elevation highway passes.”
The alert is also in effect for Highway 3 between Hope to Prince
