St. Paul's United Methodist Church in downtown Orangeburg is inviting the public to join it for its Family and Friends Day this Sunday.
"This is a special time in the life of our church. … This is, for lack of a better term, a homecoming," the Rev. Albert Shuler said.
Everyone is welcome the event. The service begins with the 10:45 a.m. worship service.
There will be special music by the choir, a message for the children and a message from retired Rev. Dr. Linda Dunn, a former pastor of the church. Childcare is available in the daycare building.
Lunch will immediately follow the worship service in Wannamaker Hall.
"We just want folks to come and see what the mission and ministry is," Shuler said. That includes newcomers, former members and others.
