Steve Coogan has revealed he got so annoyed by people quoting his famous Alan Partridge catchphrase ‘A-ha!’ that he started screaming it back to their faces trying to “disturb” them. Partridge was first created by Coogan and comedy writer Armando Iannucci in 1991 for the BBC Radio 4 show On the Hour. ‌

The TV personality character then made it to various TV series, with I’m Alan Partridge becoming a huge hit in 1997, before a second series in 2002.
