MONTREAL — Jessica De Filippo scored at the 10-minute mark and the Vancouver Rise picked up a crucial 1-0 road win over the Montreal Roses on Northern Super League action Saturday.

Vancouver won on the road against another playoff-bound team for the second time this week after defeating the Ottawa Rapid 2-0 on Wednesday.

The Rise (11-7-6) enter the final week of the inaugural season of the Canadian professional women's soccer league three points clear of Ottawa and Montreal (both 10-8-6) for second place in the six-team league.

Toronto has already clinched first place in the standings while Vancouver, Montreal and Ottawa have the other three playoff spots. The teams will battle in two-leg semifinals depending on the league standings after next week's games.
