ORRINGTON -- A charity disc golf event was held in Orrington on Saturday afternoon.

The event was held at DR Disc Golf in Orrington in collaboration with the Brewer Federal Credit Union, and was played in a team-tournament style. All proceeds of the event are put towards a hunger relief fund courtesy of federal credit unions across the state of Maine.

President of the Brewer Federal Credit Union David Defroscia says that they have hosted events such as this since 1990, and being able to provide support the his and surrounding communities is an opportunity he doesn't take for granted.
