Hollywood legend Diane Keaton dies, aged 79 View Image

The legendary actor Diane Keaton has died at 79, a family spokesperson confirmed today (Saturday, October 11).

The Academy Award-winning actress, who is perhaps best remembered for her roles in The Godfather and Annie Hall, died in California.

Diane was born in 1946 in California. Her stage career kicked off in 1968 when she appeared in the first Broadway production of Hair, and she starred in her first film in 1970.

She is also noted for her roles in Marvin's Room, Reds, Something's Gotta Give, The First Wives Club, and Father of the Bride.

A cause of death has not been confirmed yet. Her family are asking the public for privacy during this time.
