The Department of Homeland Security said that Debbie Brockman, a video editor for Chicago television station WGN, was arrested Friday morning after Brockman threw objects at federal law enforcement officers during an illegal alien enforcement operation in the city’s Lincoln Square neighborhood.
“She was arrested after throwing objects at law enforcement,” Tricia McLaughlin, assistant secretary at DHS, posted on X.
Video of the arrest circulated widely on social media.
Brockman lists her job at WGN as “video editor and graphics,” according to her LinkedIn profile. Her job includes prepping “promos for broadcast,” directing “on-air weather talents,” and creating “original content sales commercials.”
