According to Marcin Rozpedski, owner of The Rozpedski Performance Academy, losing a pickleball match “is not a loss, it’s a lesson.” That said, this fiercely competitive member of the Coachella Valley Scorpions readily admits that it’s not so much that he loves to win — it’s that he can’t stand losing.

Rozpedski and his teammates, Scott Burr and Kim Jagd — who also serves as the team’s co-owner and general manager — are laser-focused on the Scorpions’ upcoming championships. Scheduled for Oct, 17-19, the event will take place in the Pacific Northwest at the Seattle Tsunami’s brand-new indoor facility, Sideout Tsunami Pickleball Center, which boasts 25 courts.
