MENTOR (WJW) -- A moment of silence was held Friday night for a young life taken too soon.
Mentor High School wrestler Lucas McGee, 14, died after he collapsed during a routine workout last month. He was placed on a ventilator as doctors in his intensive care unit attempted to find out why his heart shut down.
His family previously said doctors considered the possibility that the heart condition was triggered by a recent illness.
The Mentor community honored him at last night's football game with signs and a moment of silence.
